Momo wheel / F12001

Ok,  I am enjoying F12001 even more now with my new Momo wheel, however now
I see prone to spinning out a lot more than I did when I was running it with
my TSW2.
Is this a sensitivy setting issue? Should reducing the sensitivity setting
on the axis the throttle is on help reduce the tendency to spin so quick?
I am running seperate axis on throttle and brake.

Thanks again,

Don Burnette

I'm using the settings that I've found here (by 'Garrison'):

Download the *.txt file you see there. It's a combination of windows
settings and various game settings. I did change his positive FF level (in
game) to a negative value (-65), which felt better to me.

Don,

I don't know if you still have the TSW2, but if so, have you tried using its
pedals along with the Momo Wheel?  I use my TSW (original) pedals in the
gameport and LWFF in the serial port, and both are recognized by F1 2001, GPL
and many other sims (but not all).  I'm using split axis too.  It gives me the
best of both worlds (wheel and pedals....)  It might work for you, as well.

Just a thought.

I would almost be willing to bet that's the issue.  The Logitech wheels
all require a negative FF setting AFAIK.

well.

I would strongly recommend not using the serial port for your LWFF unless
you have to - there is a marked decrease in precision on my system when
using the serial connection.  I believe it says in the profiler that the
serial connection is only there for compatibility with old systems and
doesn't offer the same level of accuracy.

Thanks for the tip, Damien.  Many moons ago, I still had Win95 on my system,
when I first installed the LWFF.  So, USB wasn't available to me.  I have since
upgraded to Win98SE, but never made the switch to USB.

I happen to be upgrading my system to an Epox mobo with 4 USB ports tomorrow, so
maybe I'll make the switch and see if I notice any difference.  To be honest, I
haven't noticed any particular precision problem, but maybe that's because I
didn't have anything better to compare it to..........

Thanks, I may have to give that a try.
My Momo is USB though, not sure if that will work.
