There are a number of sims with fantastic graphics, but just based on these
screenshots I think Ubi Soft may be about to give us the best yet. Amazing.

I've always thought Ubi had some of the best graphic artists since I first
was wowed by POD about four years ago.

And yes, I know the physics MUST be bad because it's not made by Papyrus,
and it's definitely "no GPL", and all that blabiddy blah be blabbidy blu.

We must remain extremely pessimistic.

The link I gave doesn't work.

That's not really hard to achieve.

I'm enthusiastic of the new game engine's capabilities, but F1RC is not the
end-of-all sims, it was not made for that.  It's pretty much an semi-serious
game with simulation elements.

It works David, it's just too long and OE cuts it.  It's normal, just
copy/paste the second part and they will load correctly.  Of course, my
previous message wasn't negative, I don't want the end-of-all modern F1 sim.
It's not important for me at the moment.

To me those screenshots reminded a little those of SoS1937...
Horryfying idea...

The***pit view is there (actually, many of them).  There is no pure
"cockpit", it's a dynamic process by Ubisoft that will give you around a
dozen camera views different.  You pickup the best one, every information
should be available for you.  The low shots you see are actually the***pit
ones on that page, there is about 5 other series of pictures.

Yes, the***pit is poor.  Yes, it looks like the one in PowerF1.  The guys
doing the CART HEAT patch should send their***pit art to Ubisoft.  Now
*THAT* is quality.

I haven't seen any***pit shots from CH yet.  Were they on champcar.net?
I'm torn.  I have Heat, I have F1cs.  Which one will make the better
champcar
port????

I've been reading that the final***pit shots haven't been shown anywhere
yet. The one's we've seen are just temporary until the finals are finished.
Not true?

That's what I read a couple of days ago, too.

If UbiSoft takes all the good points of GP3 and improves on it's bad
points
(the announced features at least promise all of that!), F1RC will be
very good, indeed!

But ymenard wouldn't be himself without dissing UbiSoft a little... ;)

Ditto...

Though I don't like agreeing with either of you <g>, I must admit I'm mildly
e***d by the prospect too. At the very least it *looks* 3D accellerated.

I've played the dreamcast version and the physics don't seem to have moved
forward that much from MGPRS the graphics are very nice though but the cars
don't look right, the tyres are too skinny and the cars too wide like the
pre 99 cars.

I hope that's not true of the PC version. I won't be buying it if it
is. What's the processor used in the Dreamcast? Maybe it doesn't have
enough juice to do the calculations for a realistic physics model and
the PC version will be different. Hoping anyway.
