Thrustmaster support

I have seen messages about TM's great support but I am unable to reach them to
order a spring for my T2 wheel.  I have been to their Web Page and gone to
support and gotten a login.  I get as far as trying to register a product then
this error message.

Internet Explorer cannot open
    http//www.thrustmaster.com/support/cs/customer/application/registerPr
    oducts.c  fm?Customer_ID=73.
Can't order part until product is registered. Catch 22.  All
    I want is a spring.

I have got automated messages that offer no help from This e-mail address

I have also spent a lot of time on the phone, long distance, and never gotten
off hold.
Would like tips on how to get that good support.  I am getting very frustrated.
They are probably a good company and I'm sure they would send me a new spring
if only I could get a hold of them.  I have tried to buy one at several
hardware stores too but, no luck so far.

I was able to get over the phone support from them last fall, after a
lengthly hold time to a non-toll-free line :-(

The person on the other end of the phone acted as if I was a complete moron,
and didn't even know what a keyboard is!

Very discouraging, and frankly, surprised me, as I've read here many many
times about the fantastic customer server/support they give.

Then later in 1998, I emailed them through their website and requested a new
"pot" and springs for my T2 and within 3 weeks had them in hand free of
charge!

Conclusion....

Their over-the-phone/in person support sucks, but their prompt response,
with free replacement parts, convinces me to buy their products again, in
the future.

Hope that helps?
Happy New Years!

Works fine for me in Netscape.  You might want to try the following URL
directly.  Probably won't work but what the heck....  Also you may want
to try re-registering, there may be a glitch in their database for your
login.  If all else fails try sending e-mail to

polite letter explaining your problems with the T2 and their webpage.

I just got an answer back from one of the e-mails that I sent and they said
they would forward my request to support and repair the broken link.  I am
using AOL 4.0 browser.  They just change their web page over the Christmas
holiday.  Have you been able to login and register a product since then?  Thank
you for the e-mail addresses and advice.  Gpl is just not as much fun with a
joystick.  Will post again when the spring arrives.
