Thrustmaster Wheel Problems

by Ron Forema » Sat, 10 Jun 2000 04:00:00

I recently bought a thrustmaster pro digital usb wheel to try to race
the nascar 3 game. From day one, this wheel has been a trial.  The setup
cd-rom was useless.  when I got it setup and running, I had to either
reinstall virtually every time I booted up, go through the wheel
configuration, then go to nascar 3, reset all of the controls, and,
finally, get to drive into various objects, not all of them moving at
the time.

guillemot (some frog company, as in Jean-Claude Poopiedoo)technical
support recommended an upgraded driver, which did nothing that i could
tell.  At least the wheel stayed visible in control panel.  I had to
attempt reinstallation after converting to win 98 v 2.  That has failed
utterly.

I don't know much about wheels in general, but maybe someone out there
can give me some hints.
1.  Is this wheel worth having, or should i fly to france and stick it
up jean-claude's a**?
2.  Can drivers for any other wheel be made to work with this one, or
are the wheel drivers pretty much individual.
3. has anyone found a cure for this problem, or even had it?
4.  Is it worth the effort, or should i just burn it and buy something
good that you guys might recommend.

I await your answers.  thanks.

Thrustmaster Wheel Problems

Ron I have exactly the same problem with this wheel. I'm trying to use it
with EA F12000.
Thrustmaster have suggested all of the things I had already tried. Lastest
suggestion from "Mathieu"at Thrustmaster  is to try it on another computer.
If it behaves the same the wheel is faulty!!
I have been in touch with another user with the same problems. I believe he
trashed his.
I will advise if  I find a solution.
