GP3 flicker ?!

by mic » Sat, 05 Aug 2000 04:00:00

I've just bought a Geforce GTS2 64mb, my problem is that when I run the game
in 1280 by 1040 the bottom of the screen flickers every now and again, it
doesn't happen other resolutions ? I'm running with the latest nvidia
drivers ( as the ones supplied gave me a square green steering wheel )

My other question is, how have people set up there D3D properties ? do you
just leave them as default or change stuff e.g filtering.

Ive also noticed that I get an occupancy of around %150 in the wet as well,
maybe to do with the fact that im running it on a P3 500 ??

Thanks

Michael

Is this in the steering wheel area.
A rectangular shape.

I get this when running my Voodoo5 with 4xFSAA.
Then a lap and a half later, the game locks up :-(

The flicker seems to be a problem with the GeForce2 D3D drivers themselves
(post 5.13), the only solution I have found on my system is to *disable*
VSync.  If you are using the reference drivers you will need the -
coolbits - registry entry to enable this option, see www.geforcefaq.com

Hope that helps!

Disable vsync in "More d3d options" under D3D in display properties.

If you dont have the "More D3d" button (or are using reference drivers),
download and run the coolbits reg. to enable it.''
