Oddly enough, I get this problem is VSync is ENABLED in D3D, turning it off
sorts the problem (I have a Creative GeForce 2 GTS card). I've seen the same
problem in a couple of other (mainly racing) D3D games on the GTS. No
problem with 3dMark2000, but then again this automatically turns of VSync.
If you are using the reference drivers you will need the 'coolbits' registry
entry to allow VSync to be turned off for D3D (see www.geforcefaq.com ).
