GPL Forcefeed Back

I just purchased an ACT LABS RS force wheel. I have uninstalled and
re-installed GPL and patched it with the latest patch.  I have gone into
the core.ini and set the force feedback to "1" to enable the effects.  I
have spent alot of time just trying to get this wheel to work with GPL
to no avail.  Can anyone help me, please?  The wheel works fine in all
other games and is immediately recognized when force feedback is
enabled.  The wheel works fine in GPL for plain driving, much better
than my old joystick did. I would really like to get the force feedback
working in GPL.  Any assistance is greatly appreciated.  I have the
wheel hooked up through my USB port currently.  I also tried through the
serial port, but still no force effects in GPL.  I have also completely
uninstalled and re-installed the wheel, as well as updated the ACT LABS
wheel with the latest drivers from their web site.  Running Win98 2nd
Edition, 128 MB Ram, 2 Voodoo2 12 meg cards, P2-450 Compaq Deskpro
computer.  All diagnostics say the wheel is installed and working
correctly.  All effects work perfectly in the control panel test screen
for the ACT LABS wheel and pedals.

Thanks,
Reid G.

Your core.ini should look like this:

[ Joy ]
allow_force_feedback = 1  ; 0 = No *  1 = Yes
force_feedback_latency = 0.035          ; Default = 0.085
force_feedback_damping = 30.0  ; Default = 40.0
max_steering_torque = 450.0  ; Default = 225.0

Make sure there are no semicolons in front of the lines.
Also make sure the file is really named core.ini by showing the complete
file names in Explorer. Sometimes an extra extension is present.
