GPL OpenGL

I'm running GPL with a GeForce-2 and the new OpenGL patch but I'm unable to
get a full screen at 800x600 or higher. When setting above 640x480 the
picture is displayed in the upper right-hand portion of the screen with the
rest of the screen flashing.

Does anyone know how to get it to run in full screen at higer resolutions?

Thanks,

Sal V.

It might be that you have the 5.xx drivers.  If so, the 3.xx, 3.68 or
higher, will solve it.

I am using the same Open GL patch with an Asus GeForce in 1600x1200, all
details set to max. It sounds to me like it could be your graphics card
drivers. I am using Asus 3.75 drivers and the game runs perfect from an
external view (36-37fps) but the mirrors flicker when in the car (24-28fps).
With my previous drivers I had similar problems to you. With it being such a
new card I suppose you will have to wait for some updated drivers.

Those sound like the symptoms of a refresh rate problem.
Do you have your refresh rate set to a custom setting?
If so, does it still happen if you right click on the
Desktop->Properties->Settings->Advanced->Adapter, and set the drop
down to Adapter Default ?

This is a known issue with Geforce drivers version 5.xx
Try 3.68 or 3.77

OK. Here's how I get GPL to work perfectly with my Geforce DDR

Reboot - Go to bios - Set AGP apeture size to 4 (should be about 64 for all
other games)
Boot up - goto display properties, additional options, open GL - change
default bit depth to 16-bit - change buffer flipping to block transfer, and
tick the first 4 settings in the tick boxes - (save as a custom setting to make
it easier next time!)
Apply and close all of that.
Copy nvopengl.dll from the 3.68 drivers into the GPL directory (that way
you can happily run any of the 5.xx drivers)
Make sure you are using the beta 2 opengl drivers for GPL
In your core.ini (in the GPL directory), set the mirrorsevery setting to 3
(or 2, but it'll be slower - try 3 first)
Run GPL - have no mirror detail settings ticked at all, but turn on as many
forward details as you like...

For me, it bounces off the 36 frame limit most of the time, except when
there are lots of others cars around (just like my old pair of V2s, but other
games are SOO much better). Hope this helps for your GF2.....
