fixing Nascar Pro pedal springs

by Bill Jone » Thu, 01 Oct 1998 04:00:00

I was using the Nascar Pro racing wheel tonight and heard a snap in the
pedal unit, and then noticed that the throttle pedal has about half the
resistance it used to have.  So does that mean a spring has popped off or
broken?

I unscrewed all the screws on the bottom of the pedal assembly, but could
not get the thing open enough to see inside, and didn't want to force the
issue as the unit is only two months old?  Is this something that you have
to send to Thrustmaster to fix, or will they send parts and give me
instructions on how to fix it myself?  How do you get that bottom plate off
the pedal unit?

Just take the pedals off(2 screws each) and all (6)of the outer
silver screws out of the bottom and it will drop off.
