wheel. Does anyone have an alternative or better solution to the reacurring
problem of the pedal springs breaking.

Why not build your own springs?
I have a T2 so I'm not sure about the configuration
of the Pro springs. I use a wire coat hanger wrapped
around a broom handle as a quick replacement spring.
After 3 months its still working :) Of course if you require
perfect feedback - stiffness of the spring - some other
people recommended #506 piano wire. You can get
it at your local hobby shop (Or maybe a musical shop?)
My problem is I haven't had a chance to find that
elusive piano wire. Wonder how long the coat hanger
will hold out? Hehe.
Just be sure to bend the wire in the same direction
as the old one. Since they're free you can experiment.
Happy racing,
Jason.

Definitely, try piano wire - the advantage being that if you use different
thicknesses (gauges?) of piano wire you can set the throttle/brake as stiff
as you want! (Oh yeah, it's very cheap so no need to worry about cost
either)

It is much easier to make the pedal 'stiffer', at the same time.
Increasing the diameter of the wire when rewinding your own 'stock'
style springs will also stiffen the pedal.
