Call TM and ask for a set of springs.  Although the quality of their springs
is pretty bad, their customer service is very good and you will have your
springs in about a week.  Use their web site to fill in a request form, I
found that to be faster.

Also, I personally use one spring on each pedal.  I find it easier on my
feet and have more spare springs that way.  HTH.

Ok...it finally happened.  I've had it for 10 months and the springs on
the gas
    pedal finally broke.

I have disassembled the whole base and have removed the busted springs.
The
ones on the brake appear fine.

Anyone have any suggestions on replacements.  Is my only option to
contact
    Thrustmaster?

With all of the GPL activity I hope this post doesn't get glossed :)

The easiest solution is to email thrustmaster, and I'll bet you have
replacement springs in 1-2 weeks.  the harder way, is to go to the hardware
store, and buy some regular coil springs and figure out a way to fasten them
in your controller, that way if they break, you can have new ones the same
day.

keep the springs but.... stick a tennis ball behind the brake pedal so it
is low and just touches, build something behind it so it is against
something solid (i built a complete***pit with a footbox) this will give
you a much more realistic feeling , the pedal will compress only about two
inches and get stiffer as it bottoms just like a real brake. do something
similar to the throttle but use soft foam and allow for 2-3 inches of
travel. the huge amount of pedal travel plus the fact that the feel doesnt
change just doesn't cut it.  with this mod all race cars are way easier to
drive, took several seconds off my GPL times. Enjoy!

THANKS to everyone who replied.  I appreciate the quick response.  I'm going to
use one of the brake springs on the gas pedal until my replacements are
received.

THANKS!!
