re the gamecopyworld site, I can't find anywhere to download the zip file
with patch.bat. all the zip files just contain the world DEL. some idiot
went and deleted them all. however, the instructions are below. does
anybody know where else to download this fix? (i hate this, I don't even
have control over the software I buy, can't run on two pcs, can't backup. do
those losers want me to take up mass *** instead?)

CD-Copy Instructions:
Create the following temporary directories:
TempDir : C:\TEMP\CD
Copy the full contents of the original CD to TempDir.
Extract the UPDATE.ZIP archive to TempDir.
Execute PATCH.BAT to apply the Patch.
Create a CD-Image (DATA - Mode 1) and burn the contents
of TempDir to a CD-R and use this CD-Label: NFS V
Install the game - Full Installation.
Copy the HUDSTRINGS.H file from the CD to: <GameDir>\FEDATA\LOCALE\
Play the Game!
I seriously doubt that you can link two copies together, each
copy installed with the same install keycode. I've never tried it, so I
don't know what will happen, but I believe that for a game that costs
about $20 in stores now, you are wasting too much time on it trying
to get around this limitation.
Also keep in mind that hacked versions (i.e. gamecopyworld modified)
cannot be auto-patched.

CloneCD copy of NFSPU was fairly quick (only a little over 1 hour), NFSHS
took about 6-8 hours to read all the safedisk errors to clone. I guess they
figured no one would want Porsche Unleashed much.
Granted this was a while ago with a 6x4x32x Acer burner. Make sure you have
a good (compatible) burner for CloneCD.
