Where is SOS Demo?

It's past midday on 21 October 1999 and still no demo at
www.spiritofspeed1937.com despite assurances that one would be up by 20
October on the same site.

Anyone heard anything?

Funny, most people agree with "don't put it out till it's
RIGHT."  But they'll also *** because a ship date's been missed!!!

Yeah, we can just play NASCAR Legends instead.  Oops, not until
mid-November...

Well we could run GPL 1.2  Err, maybe not just yet...

OK, we'll just use the track convertors to convert all our NASCAR
tracks to GPL.  But wait, Francois and/or David N. haven't pulled that
off yet...

Or we could always tweak our setups with GPal.  Hmmm...

I'm starting to get good at waiting...  :)

Anyway, it would be nice if they at least updated their website. I too
get a bit angry every time I go there (twice a day, I have to admit :)
and the text lies me bluntly in the face:

"You will be able to download the
Spirit of Speed 1937 playable demo from here
                                    by 20th October 1999."

This *does* get a bit annoying.

This is an address for one of the partners in Spirit of Speed 1937. Now I would
never want to start any trouble <g> but I decided to drop them a few hundred notes
and see if they get the hint. Ya know... if I tell one of my customers that I'm
going to have something for him on such & such a date.......when that date rolls
around, he is going to expect what he was promised at that time. And he's going to
be more upset if I ignore him and pretend as if I had promised him nothing. Than if
I explain to him why there was a delay..
my 2 cents!!  DBH

I agree, as lots of companies still treat websites as a one-time investment.
Put it online, and forget it for 2 months...

I'd just like to read about the other cars, like the Auto Union.
