Motorhead demo: 4 great tips to make this demo a little bit more worth your time...

Although it's not really worth the trouble, here are 4 tips for the
Motorhead demo.

1. Turn around at the start of the race. You can drive on for 3 minutes now,
instead of only 1 lap.

2. The left control key is the handbrake: use this one to get around the
corners fast. You can really skid around those bends, bettter than with the
down arrow. Only use the down arrow if you have to drive backwards.

3. When you get the message 'Time up' (or when you've finishes your 'race'),
immediately press Ctr-Alt-Del and end the game from the pop-up menu. This
way you won't get that VERY ANNOYING exit screen that's locked for 10
seconds...

4. This one's from RHYS CASH! (Although I had the same idea, only for some
reason it didn't work when I first tried it: maybe I made a typing
mistake... It works now, though!). It gives you another track, Atlantika, to
race on (the track you see in demo mode). I changed his info a bit, so you
can easily switch between the two tracks.

Step 1: Make two new directories in your Motorhead demo dir: call them
Goldbridge and Atlantika.
Step 2: copy the complete Track 8 dir from the Motorhead/Tracks dir to
Goldbridge
copy the complete Track 4 dir from the Motorhead/Tracks dir to
Atlantika and rename it to Track 8
Step 3: in Atlantika/track8 rename
     Atlantika_move.lws to goldbridge_move.lws
Step 4: Copy the contents of Goldbridge/track8/Data/halos to
Atlantika/track8/Data/halos
Step 5: in Atlantika/track8/data rename
     Okksea0.dta to Gold0.dta
     Okksea1.dta to Gold1.dta
     Okksea2.dta to Gold2.dta
     Okksea3.dta to Gold3.dta
     Atlantika.FLG to Goldbridge.FLG
     Atlantika.TGA to TrioSky.TGA
     okksea.iff to gold.iff
Step 6: in Atlantika/track8/Hardware rename
     ATLANTIKA.MYW to GOLDBRIDGE.MYW
Step 7: in Atlantika/track8/Motions rename
     okkcscam.MOT to extcam.mot
     okksea2.mot to trioval.mot
Step 8: in Atlantika/track8/Objects rename
     Atlantika.col to goldbridge.COL
     Atlantika.lob to goldbridge.lob
     Atlantika.srf to goldbridge.SRF
Step 9: if you want to race on Atlantika, copy the complete Track 8 dir from
the Atlantika dir to the original Track directory (overwriting everything)
if you want to race on Goldbridge, copy the complete Track 8 dir from
the Goldbridge dir to the original Track directory (overwriting everything)
Step 10: Run the game and play!

BTW: You can delete the Motorhead/Tracks/Track 4 dir if you're not planning
to view the demo. Saves some more precious HD space...

I also agree with your comments on the NICE2 demo; I think it's pretty classy of
them to put a demo like this out even if it is in German at the moment!  I just
hope the final game lets you select higher resolutions with Voodoo 2 cards.I
think both of these are going to be great arcade racers and I'll probably be
buying them both.  They might be silly arcade racers, but I think there's a
world of difference between these two and ***like Test Drive 4, Psygnosis F1
and others that I can't even remember the names of.  Just my personal opinion of
course.
