The game never fails to amaze me... It runs on my NT 4 machine with no
problems (dual P5-500MHz w/512 MB :-). Alas, I don't have a joystick that
the system will see. NT 4 only supports the very basic SWPro, none of the
other SideWinder products; I have an MS FF wheel. So far, the replays are
awesome. I don't want to change the controller settings cuz I still boot W98
to race. Looks awesome, though...

Any specific advice you can offer for what I need.  Our office is running
NT4 with the latest service pack.  I can run Half-Life without problems in
OpenGL.  The graphics card is a TNT2 derivative, so I would have to run
the OpenGL beta... is this possible under WinNT.  So far, I keep getting
kicked back out to the desktop after the Sierra splash screen.

NT will also recognize analog joysticks and wheels.
