GPL under Win NT?

I tried installing GPL on a friend's machine to get  a frame rate
comparison on a really powerful computer (dual PII 350s. 129Mb RAM and
dual Voodoo II cards).  It installed and the title card came up, but
hung soon after.     Is anyone running GPL under NT 4.0?    Are there
any tricks to the installation?

Currently GPL will not run under NT4.0.

But I think since the only issue seems to be DirectX, that it will run
under NT5 (Windows 2000).  Has anyone tried it with the beta copy?
