Hi guys;

I am running GPL on XP.

My internet connection is ADSL, connected through RASPPPOE. But I've also
had xp's stock adsl connect and had the same problem.

If I connect to an online race hosted on a fellow racer's computer, I can
run laps for a bit, then the Q bar starts rising and I get "Error 10054
detected on network device" and disco. This message appears 50 times or so
in rapid succession.

I'm always able to connect again right away and things are fine again for a
while.

I've only noticed this running OGL - never with D3D. I don't think I've
ever had it while being hosted by a dedicated server either.

Any ideas what's wrong? Any other experienced this?

Hi Willard,
I can't help I'm afraid except I don't think it's a graphics problem as I
get it with D3D. However I only get this error when locally joining a race
which I am hosting on VROC with my other networked computer. I have 2
computers conneted thru a switched router.

Thanks - yesterday it happened to me joining a race via ip as well.

I researched a bit on Racesim - and the consensus is that it is a problem on
the server end, but no one seems to have the difinitive answer.
