I've been getting right back into N2 since the save game patch, and can now
run consistent 179's at C***te. I'm interested to know what sort of lap
times my fellow simmers are getting at this great track, as I think I'm at
the limit with my current setup.

Same here, with an occasional 180-181.

I was going to post the same question, so I will be watching this thread
as well.

Todd

I've turned some lap times in the 182 range, but I know of a few that
are in the 183+ range.

  Phil,
I can qualify at about 181-182, with consistent race times (40-45 laps) in
the 179-180 range.  The car is loose for qualifying; and with my race set-up,
it starts out loose, then gets comfortable after about 15 laps.  Then it comes
in, and I can "cruise"....

I've been getting 179 laps too.
By any chance would you know what your average is at Michigan?

My average is 178-179.  I can usually hit 180-181 when working with
the draft.

Mr Turtle why no lap time?????
I haven't seen you on here in a while and when I saw the post to
C***te lap times     I was so e***d that I was going to see
smothing like "BLAP 185.8 Ta-Ta." Im bummed.
For the record my best lap is 180.585 using the Joe Farr setup which I
think he says should do 183? Best qual is 179.995. Also It should be
noted that NASS97 did a test race their with secure? software (can't
cheat) and only 1 guy was over 180. So I guess the fast guys just aren't
running maybe? Good Luck!

I've been running in the 179's consistently, with a record of 180.875.
I'm still working on the set-up though.

Hi,

With my setup I usually run 181 to 181.5 with a clear line. Once I come
in to the pit and change 4 tires and have a little more than 1/2 a tank
of fuel I can hit 182.5 mph.  I found that for a given setup line makes
a tremendous difference.  Be smooth and try to find a line where you're
not fighting the car.

JBS

My best lap at C***te is 182.439 (this was during testing and with about
5 gallons of fuel). In the race I start out at about 180.6, ending in the
179.5 range from lap 50 to 65. I use my own setup.

That's an awesome pace Steve. How long do your tyres last ? My B/L is a low
181, but if I try to maintain that pace in a 50%+ distance race, I chew up
the tread too quick. You better send me your setup A.S.A.P.!! :-)

Lets compare apples to apples....

70 degs, no wind, no draft, full tank...BLAP 181.610. I run 181s for
first 30 laps, 180s till lap 50 then RF turns red, so I slow to 178s or
179s till lap 60.
