For those that want to see what Sierra is doing with the Playstation
version of NASCAR 2, head to this link:

http://www.racesimcentral.net/

Best viewed with at least 16-bit color, these shots are incredibly
good, and it looks like Sierra has even added new fantasy courses in
addition to the tried & true NASCAR real courses.

Now what's this about fuel mixture adjustment?  I didn't know they
could do that!

Did you even bother to read the top of the page?  It will probably not
be entitled NASCAR2, as NASCAR1 was never released on a console.

Sierra Readies First PlayStation Title

As first seen on Next Generation Online a month ago Nascar Racing for
PlayStation is in the final throws of development at Sierra. Here's a
latest look at the hot racing sim.

Get your facts straight before you start calling people morons.

What an idiot.  Why don't you actually go to the web site and read-up.
Better yet, talk to Papyrus.  They *ARE* doing it for the Playstation.
The screenshots ARE of the Playstation version.  It will also be in 16-bit
color, support the Mad Catz wheel, have arcade and simulation modes etc.

Its also obvious that you look down on the Playstation as if it doesn't
deserve "a good game".  I might point out to you until we get boards like
the Rendition for the PC, the Playstation blows away the PC in terms of
polygon handling and hardware special effects.  With few exceptions, games
ported to the PC from the Playstation suffer in graphics quality, having
their # of colors reduced to 256, and no cool hardware graphics special
effects.

I have NASCAR and IndyCar for my Pentium and I'll *STILL* buy NASCAR 2 for
my Playstation as well so I can drive from my sofa wired through my home
theater system.  Formula 1 World Championship is another "good game"
coming for the Playstation, but unlike GP2, you can run with full graphic
details on at 30 fps on a machine that only costs $199.  So get a freaking
clue before namecalling.  You only make a complete ass of yourself when
you don't get the facts first.

To get some more straight:

There are pictures there for NASCAR 2 for the PC these were posted a
few weeks back.

I tried to look at the PSX version of NASCAR yesterday but I was having
some unexplained troubles with the download. Is it NASCAR 1 or NASCAR 2
for the Psx. I assumed it to be Nascar 1.

By the way Nascar 2 on the PC looks unbelievable, early morning sun
glare in the windshield looks neat.

Before you call someone a MORON, you should get your facts straight. They ARE putting
it on the Playstation.  I think a good strong look in the mirror ***first would be
in order.

They may just call it NASCAR for the Playstation, even though its
NASCAR 2.  The two products are proceeding in parallel and when you
look at the mock-up screenshots of the PC version and the actual shots
from the Playstation version it becomes clear the two are brothers,
and the current PC version of PC NASCAR is the dinosaur.

Unfortunately, that's not a real screenshot but a mock-up.  However,
the Playstation versions look more like actual screenshots (there will
be egg on my face if I find this not to be true, but they are clearly
unique and not anything you could do by touching up PC Nascar shots.

I don't know if I asked this already but is Nascar 2 gonna be
supporting the Vodoo or Verite? I'm expecting so but confirmation would
be nice. Also what's the vicinity of release for it on the PC?

I think it'll support the Verite out of the box.  With Direct3D and
stuff maybe it'll support more who knows?

Randy,

Have you looked at all of the NASCAR (playstation version) screen shots?
I saw one picture of a track that I could not identify.  It looks like
a highway in the mountains or something from Need for Speed.  I guess it
could be Sears Point in Sonoma.  Not sure what the heck it is though.

Things have been a little touchy of late, but it's not as bad as some
