Great work Papyrus

I've been playing around with Nascar 2 for about a week now and I
gotta say how much I've been enjoying it.  The AI is fantastic, the
graphics are incredible and the spotter is so nice to have.  Although
it's not without its faults, I love this sim!
And to have to Adam, Jim and the rest on here for follow up getting
suggestions and criticisms alike is great.  How they put up with the
"I hate Sierra" and "Papyrus sucks" day in and day out without saying
the hell with us all is beyond me.  Also, with Papy's track record you
can bet your last nickel that they are working on a patch right now.
Now, all I need is that Screamin 3D card I ordered to come in and I'll
be in gamin' heaven.  Nascar 2 and Quake in hi-res!  So Adam, thanks
for the great product and give the rest of the team a pat on the back,
they deserve it.

The AI is fantastic?  Maybe I am the only one that is having serious
problems with the AI?  How can that be?   The following is a cut from
another post I made, that no one responded to.  (maybe my news server
never sent it)

My problems with AI of N2.
Quick example,  Aprox 30 laps into a race at Atlanta, and a yellow
comes out.  I get pushed to the end of the pack avoiding the wreck.
First yellow lap no one pits.  Being at the end, I figure I'll pit on
the 2nd yellow lap and just change the right side tires.  So I do that

and we are all on the final yellow lap, I hear the "green flag green
flag" then "leader is pitting".   The friggin rest of the pack
decided to pit when it went GREEN!   Also I've been wrecked countless
times by cars following the line way to closely.  (usually turn 1 at
Alanta)  Its almost as though they don't "know" you are there.
Sometimes on green restarts I hear the "leader is pitting" and it
looks like the AI cars are faking a pit.  (usually the 1st 5 or 6 cars
at the lead)  They start into the pits, and at the last second come
back out slowing the whole pack down.
Am I the ONLY one seeing this?  (I can't believe that?)  Also what
happened to double file restarts?  I've even tried to reinstall the
game, cause I can't believe the AI is this bad

Well said. The only real fault I think is the unable to save during a
race hassle. 185 mph average at Talledega at 100% would be about 3
hours bar yellows round about. I for one can not sit there at the
computer that long as I have spinal problems so I really need to have
a save patch. ( Hint Adam... :-)
Apart from that worth every cent.

Just to add for the heck of it.

The only problem Shane's having is the save. Well that's because he doesn't
use all the features. I wan't the little bugs fixed first.

Q.B.M. (fighting for patch positioning! :)

Like I said "The only real fault". I dont seem to be having half the
problems everyone else is having so I cant coment on what does not
effect me and I do use all the features. Might be because I read the
manuel.
