You can use the "Banshee" patch as a previous post suggests (As I
have).

Or you can just click on the "Limit Texture Memory to 2MB" box in the
3dfx Tweaks.

Good luck.

Or you could put a batch file in your GPL directory containing these two
lines:

SET FX_GLIDE_TMU_MEMSIZE=8
GPL.exe

I hate to sound stupid, but how do you create a batch file??

Create a text file in notepad and save it with a ".bat" extension.

open notepad

put the above lines in the blank document

on the 'file' menu, click 'save as'

put whatever name you want for it with the extension "bat".  If you named the
file  GPLbatch, the resulting name would be:

GPLbatch.bat

Then (this is important)  surround the name with  "   marks before you save it.
like this:

"GPLbatch.bat"

That prevents notepad from sticking the .txt at the end of it.

-or-

You could just put GPLbatch as the name and save it

then find the file and just rename it from GPLbatch.txt, to GPLbatch.bat

YOu will then have to make a shortcut to the batch file to start GPL, rather
than the existing icon, or just use the existing icon and change (right click,
choose properties) the target of the icon/shortcut to be the batch file instead
of gpl.exe

Hope this helps,

daxe

it.
like this:

"GPLbatch.bat"

That prevents notepad from sticking the .txt at the end of it.<

In the interest of quotation conservation, better check that, Daxe. :)

The quotation marks aren't necessary, Daxe.

I tried the banshee-fix, but then I can only run in one resolution.
All the others make the pic to big or to small.

Checking the 2 MB texture-box works fine for me.

Yeah, set 'file type' to 'all files', then it's OK.

Actually, Kirk, not even that is necessary. You're free to type a multiple
word file name, add the .BAT extension, and away you go.
