MGPRS2 sound in replay?

by Lutrel » Sat, 09 Jan 1999 04:00:00

I have no sound in replay mode. Downloaded the MGPRS2 patch and then the
sound of the engine starts braking up unless I select "Headphone" in the
sound menu. It also seems more quiet and I tried more volume in the editor
but it still seems quiet. I guess I can just turn my speakers way up when
the game starts, but how do I get sound in the repays?

Lutrell,
to solve the 'breaking up ' problem on the SBLive, put the following into
your snd_cpa.ini file:
[DLL_Test]
File0=WAVX2

[DLL_Sxd]
Unconditionnal=None
File0=WAVX2

Default=WAVX2

OK?

Thanks , but that puts it back to two speaker mode and I think the four
speaker mode was working before the patch. So now I need a patch to fix the
patch! Also still no sound in replay mode. Anyone know how to fix (another
patch?).

It does put it into 2 speaker mode, but is that not better than having it
breaking up?
The replay problem is common, and will not be fixed until a later patch.

I think I found a fix for the stuttering or braking up engine sound in the
game. I thought it was with selecting the different speakers, but then I
tried setting the Sound Distance lower and it seems to be working with four
speaker mode.
