I know racing was dangerous in those days, but....     :-)

Isn't that a "Fantasy Monza" ?

I have never seen those big pillars at Monza around the banking.  Neither in
historical video or in Grand Prix, the movie.  The historical footage I've
seen goes back to the early 40's, so maybe they really was such pillars at
Monza.  The only interesting screenshot is the third one, with more accurate
tyre width.

I wonder where those driver got their 1990 Pirelli tyres.  It really looks
like the MGPRS2 retro-mode, btw.  From the***pit looks to the font of the
text to the flashy cartoony palette :)

It's the temporary chicane that was inserted.

Also I don't think the Auto-Unions and Mercedes pre-war silver cars ever
raced at Brooklands.

Looks like they're going for a racing game "in the style" of the 30's

As you can see there is a chicane 2/3s of the way around the banking,
I guess that's the pile of dirt.

And I always thought the "Mickey Mouse" chicane was a modern invention,
which reached its zenith with the infamous pile o'tires seen at Barcelona
following Senna's death.

reminds me of something james hunt said once, during commentating on a
gp.  he called someone (who i guess was notorious for not letting
people lap him) a 'mobile chicane'.   anyone know who he was talking about?

also, just to make things easier, may not have been james hunt who
said it :-)
