NFS on LAN with cablemodem network card

I have a Lan and a cable modem, so I need 2 NIC's. I want to run NFS
HS on my LAN but cannot connect to the second PC, I suspect that NFS
is trying to use the card needed for the cablemodem. How do resolve
this problem?
