races.
It can be difficult for all concerned, not knowing if you are racing for
position or (gasp) being lapped:)

As far as I can tell, the blue flags are being waved (I've seen way too
many of them being waved <G>). However (for you that are trying to
lap), we can only see them when a track marshall/worker is about, so
don't get in too much of a hurry to pass us slower guys until we have
had a chance to see a blue flag. And then try not to get too impatient.
Since we are being lapped, odds are that we aren't as confident and good
as you are, and we may be waiting for a part of the track where we feel
in control enough to move off the line and let you through. There's no
need in our "lunging" off line only to cause a spin and take you out at
the same time.

Does anyone have the answer?

My point is that it'd be nice if AI cars got blue flagged and they actually
got the hell out of my way. Also, it's a bit strange to be blue flagged when a
slower car is behind you just because you got a corner wrong. I don't think
anyone would blue flag any of the Big 4 teams in F1 if, after an off, a
Minardi came up behind them.
It may be easier for the player, but maybe Papyrus can make it realistic in a
patch?

btw. Where did you find it in the docs? I don't recall reading it.

Also, a note for the fast guys...
It would appear that warning flags (including the green) take precedent
over the blue flag. During a very messy lap at the Glen last night,
every marshall was busy waving a warning flag (I thought the race was
over <G>) and there was someone pushing to get by me. However, a blue
flag never appeared until the wrecking stopped.

Under practice conditions, the blue flag is waved anytime you are slower
than someone approaching you. Consider it an advisory that there is
someone on your tail (in case you forgot to check-six).

I think under practice this is realistic. Considering that everyone is
usually attempting to get a good run for grid position, it's only fair
not to hold them up (and that includes the Minardis <G>).
