N2003 problem

Not seen this one posted yet, just installed the game yesterday, and messed
around a bit, but every time I exit the game, my system locks up on the
credit screen. I have to physically power it down. Anyone else had this
happen? Locked up once in the options screen too.

Thanks in advance.

If you disable the intro/exit screens, does it still lockup when you
quit?

I will try that......I assume that is an options menu choice? Never seen
that option.

Thanks

It's not a menu item.  You have to add a command to the shortcut.
right clik on the shortcut and then choose properties.
in the box with the .exe file you have to add something like this...
...2003.exe -noannims  or -noannimations.  I'm not 100% sure of the exact
wording.  Hopefully somebody else will fill in the details.

It actually is a menu command, at least there is one that lets you check a
box that says no intro and exit credits, I checked it and then it locked up
as I hit the exit button. And it is locked up solid. Annoying.....

I had simular problems with NR2002.  Swapping sound cards "cured" it. My
system had the evil pairing of a Geforce video card and a Creative sound
card.  It could have been either one, but I really disliked the Live card so
I ditched it.

Mine will crash at the credit screen only if I have the sound card hardware
acceleration turned all the way off..  did you play with any hardware
acceleration settings on your comp?

Assuming you are talking about the settings in Direct X, it is all the way
on.
