After installing the latest drivers the pc does not see the
steering wheel.
It is in the game controller window and  says not
connected.  I had this
problem before but connected the steering wheel to the com
ports and it
worked fine. After changing hard disks this does not work.
I am trying
to connect to the usb port or the serial port.  Every once
in a while in the game port
window it will connect momentary and then lose the
connections.  The usb port
works fine with other devices.

I have one, so don't be offended - just trying to help, and this is all I
can think of:
The order in which I suggest you try the possible problems out is just that:
a suggestion...

A. Try reinstalling directX 8.x
B. Try uninstalling the steering wheel and the reinstalling directX 8.x,
followed by A
C. Power cable problem? Is there a red light shining under the Ferrari sign
(supposed to be on when plugged in and turned on).
D. Cable problem between computer and steering wheel?
E. Try reinstalling windows. I know a complete pain - but initially my
steering wheel couldn't be located by win98 - which solved itself after
reinstallation AND moving my win98 harddrive to the promise controller (on a
Asus 4in1 KT133 motherboard)?! Dunno how on earth that could solve ANY
problems but it did.
