NFS SE prob

NFS SE prob

I picked this up as one of EA's Classics series.  I had it installed
and working fine.  I removed it as I was moving my games to another
hard drive.  Problem is, I can't get it to reinstall.  Whenever I put
the CD in, the one button that toggles from Install to Run Game
(depending on whether you've installed or not) is always on Run Game
regardless of the fact that I don't have it installed.  I've contacted
EA through e-mail but they haven't answered in a few months (I guess I
might not get an answer unless this is the normal response time).

Anyone else run into this problem?  I'd like to get the newer NFS SE's
but not if I can never uninstall the game.

Thanks,

Terrill

Hi,

I must say that I never had any trouble with this, but here's two
possibilities.

1. Don't use auto run, but look for the setup program on the CD.
2. Search the registry for an entry of NFS, or perhaps a .ini file in
c:\windows and remove it.

I don't if it'll work, but it's worth a try.

Good luck,
Johan.
