What have I missed?
1) A discussion about whether or not Dave Noonan was right to charge
for his converter, considering that the vast majority of user-done
addons are free (consensus: it would be nice if it were free, but DN
has a perfect right to charge for it).
2) As an extension from the above, a discussion about the various
distribution terms people put in freeware (eg the various addons which
can only be distributed via The US Pits, which was damn annoying when
it was down - personally I dislike that type of term, but I can see why
authors want to keep track of their progs - maybe three or so "approved
sites" would be better than just the one).
3) "The French Pits": some prat in France who had posted a large number
of DN's tracks illegally, including an early Suzuka (which we all want
to see, but not like that). Earlier today, he pt up a page insulting
people who supported DN on this (ie almost all of us) and encouraging
mailbombing. The authorities seem to have acted on this pretty quickly,
adn the site's now down - hopefully for good.
