I can't access the track info, driver info, and race school in CPR. I had
this problem a few weeks ago but then I was forced to reinstall my entire
hard drive including Windows. After that, everything worked fine. Now, for
some reason, the problem is back again. I think this is all related to
Directx5. If anyone has any suggestions to help me, I'd appreciate it very
much.

I have this same problem, I was on the phone with MS for about an
hour. He didn't say anything about directx. I'd hate to think that
I've got to reload all this stuff just to make it work. Let me know
if you find anything out.
