Why cant I push the knob past the 5 setting.  When I do the engine starts
fluttering and I do not get more power.

Another BUG Maybe.  Whats up wit dat!!!

  No bug Peter...
   The Championship cars are limited to a certain level of boost.  The upper
limit of boost is controlled by a pop-off valve that opens when max boost is
exceeded.  This then forces the engine to run crappy, loose power and get
back inside the tolerances.  It is a very delicate dance to find the right
level of boost to match your gearing.  At the track that was formerly known
as Indy, (now known as mud) many a star saw thier qualifying efforts crumble
when they pushed just a little too hard and opened the pop-off valve..

I imagine the fluttering sound is the pop off valve blowing off extra
pressure that goes beyond the CART max (40???).

I can't imagine 5 being the max, but I haven't figured out how to go beyond
it either.
