Those titles all have easily accessible demos. Try them, you'll like them.

Will have. Some people are trying it a bit early--before the demo is
available.

On a number of occasions the developers of our beloved sims have been
praised for taking part in this newsgroup. Other times their lack of
involvement has disappointed - that is not to say the newsgroup is not being
monitored - hopefully some will be using this newsgroup for some
constructive feedback on development of the products we want.
Posting comments on warez versions is dubious - it can be very valuable in
forming a view as to which products to buy - I am as impatient as the next
RAS member to know if a new sim is going to be great or not. Though it
doesn't send out a great message out to the developers.
Posting links to warez sites goes a step way too far IMHO. This is the first
time I have seen this on RAS.
This is probably an extremely na?ve view - but for me the credibility of the
newsgroup just gets wiped out with a solitary post if it includes links to
sites to rip off full versions of the sims which form the basis of our
discussions.
Ok so we know it goes on - but for it to become openly discussed in an
enthusiast newsgroup is bang out of order.
This post isn't designed to spark a debate on the rights & wrongs of warez -
simply to put across a view that RAS is not an appropriate place to find it.

Personally, this has been done for years by a good portion of the r.a.s.
veterans. It increased a little two years ago, but it remained normal. We
mostly approved this approach because of how helpful it can be as a
community to related to them racing simulator and how to rate them,
especially the final versions. The motto of many people here since the crop
of bad titles we had this past few year is "Better try it/not like it than
buy it/not like it". When most of us like the software we will buy it.
Most of us have GPL. Most of us have GP500, SCGT, Nascar3, RC2000, etc...
I completely agree. The r.a.s. veterans that I call (we know who we are)
should be all concerned about our newsgroup. It is clearly not the way we
want it to be. We have had often in the past serious conversation over
features of a beta version of a software, but this went way too far.
Personally I tried F1 2000, showed my view of this title, and that's all, it
went in the garbage after. Or it would had went if I bought it also.
Let's not continue with all this bollocks we have here.
