F1 2000 flaws

OK so I installed it and had a race with all the defaults at Austria, came
6, won the next race so obviously in arcade mode. Knocked off all  the
assistants and now the cars responds, spun on the approach to the home
straight and ended up in the pit lane. Decided to drive straight through,
couldn't was forced into the pits! As I was entering the pit my radio
informed me to stay out as my partner was pitting. He rammed me in the pit,
had a full set of boots and was out before my fronts were changed.
Guess there's a few bugs more.

This option can be changed.

Or a user problem :-)

What happened here was a bit strange, but explainable.  You need to "radio"
that you want to pit by pressing the "~" key.  A light on the right side of the
dash will turn yellow.  When it turns green your pit is ready.  A voice will
tell you to come in this lap as well.  If your pit guys are not informed of you
coming in your pit it will take a long time.  That's why your partner was out
before you were.  You should turn auto-pit off and use the space bar for the
rev-limiter.  This way you will not be forced into the pit and you would have
been able to drive away when the crew said "hey, it's not your turn :-)"

Aside:  I finally clued in that the "yellow flags" are lights on the middle of
dash/wheel.  That's the only hoaky thing I found.

Starting in 2000 it's a new rule that all cars have blue, yellow, and red lights on
the dash or wheel. These lights are controlled by FIA officials (akaBernie),so these
are technically correct. This was on the Fox Sports Net broadcast of the Australia
race, showing the dash of a Jordan with the lights.

Thanks for that explaination!  It still won't prevent me from looking for flagmen, but
at least I know it's right :-D

You obviously are letting the computer take control of your car in the pit
lane, switch that off, its very annoying.
