Can't finish race at Sears Point during full season

by Pete Boy » Mon, 10 Mar 1997 04:00:00

I've checked the FAQ and can find no mention of this but hopefully I'm not
the first to experience this "feature"

During a full race season (100% race distance, 97% opponents, full field) I
can race through to the end of the race but, after everyone's taken the
flag, about 6 or 7 cars do not come into the pits. Instead, they continue
around the track at 2 mph for ever!!!  The race isn't over so you can't
progress to the next race.

Can anyone help?? If more details are required, email me and I'll post them
up.

TIA
Pete

I just finished a race at Sear Point in Champ Season mode; It did take a
long time to be able to exit the race to the victory screen, but I
waited a couple of minutes and did so.  I kept hitting ESC to check,
then I'd rejoin the race, wait a moment, hit ESC, rejoin, etc.  until a
few minutes went by and the victory screen came up.  I guess I had to
wait for the results to become official, following a compression test of
Rusty's car.  :)

God Bless,
Steve

I had the same thing happen to me in accelerated mode....the game would
never end.....I tried this 3 times trying to get past this track in
Championship mode....There is definitely a problem here.

Have you tried using the (A) key to accelerate the race after you have
crossed the finish line.
