Alfa 147 - Sears Point Won't Race and other NT2003 Conversion Questions.

The Alfa 147 Mod I download came with a Sears Point Track called Sonoma. I
can Test, Qualify and WarmUp on it but it CTD with no error message as soon
as I try and race.  There is no problem racing with the European tracks.

Someone in an earlier thread said that you had to add tracks first in F12002
before you could add them in the Mods.  Is this true?

Also when I went to add Sears point into F12002 I noticed that the track I'd
DL was called Sears and it had a different Loading screen (it ran fine in
F12002).  I take it they are both NT2003 conversions.  Which is the most
recent and better?

As well, I haven't run any other NT2003 conversions yet but I have DL them.
I see there is a common file and a terrain file that have to be added to
make the conversions work.  Where are they to be added exactly?

TIA

Possibly needs a setup for the AI to use in your "xxxxxsave" directory.

I am currently looking into a similar situation.  I had downloaded the
NT2003 tracks for F1-2002, but they cause a CTD anytime a track starts to
load.  I have since read that you have to have a file called common.mas in a
folder and that folder has to be in the correct place according to the .scn
file that points the game to these files.  I am currently downloading the
Alfa Mod just to get the common.mas file, as that seems to be the only place
I can find it.

As soon as I get this working I will post back here and let you know what I
have found.  Almost everyone said that this was a simple thing to do, with
instructions being included with each track as to how to install it, but I
haven't found those instructions.

"Glen Pittman"
Probably they were referring to the downloadable tracks converted tracks
rather than those made for Thunder.  Not too many folks have intalled those
, I think, so their experience would be with the regular tracks like those
At Tantra's or RSDG.  Those are a piece of cake.  The Thunder stuff does,
as you found out, take a bit more tweeking.
Be very careful with the terrain ini file.  If you use one that works
with THe thunder tracks, it will be incompatible with the regular GTR
tracks when you run online.  Make sure you backup the original terrain.ini
file so you can swap it back if you want to run the roadies online.
