Wingman Formula Force in NFS2?

Love the Wingman Formula Force! Works great on everything I've tried,
except NFS2SE. There is a force feedback selection in the controllers
menu, but won't detect the wheel.

We play alot of Monster Truck Madness 2, and NFS3, and the wheel works
nicely. I had some reservations about going with force feedback; I
could not see how it would add to the game much. But after trying it on
NFS3, I am amazed at how much enjoyment was added to games we thought
were played out. It took me a while to equal my skills with a stick,
but it was worth the effort. Now I'm sailing thru the turns with hardly
a scratch.

I really like the tracks and cars on NFS2; it would be great to try them
out with force feedback. Any suggestions? We are running W98, the USB
connection, and have patched the game. Driver version is 3.12.197

Thanks,

NFS2SE has a "bug" with force feedback wheels. You really can't blame it
on them, they didn't have any wheel to test it with, and they actually
did their job right, according the DirectX documentation. But DirectX
implementation is a little bit different :-/

Anyway, there's a way to get it to run, and it's described in Force-1's
FAQ (direct link: http://www.force-1.com/faq/faqsoftware.htm)

Works for the WingMan Formula Force, and also for the other force
wheels.

Thanks, it worked. And you are right, the force feedback is a little weird
in NFS2. Worth a try, though.
