how can it be the 'same way' if it is a totally seperate and different
project..?
unless of course they copied the 'same way' effect...

Thanks,

F1 2k1 has several problems with items like tire wear and heat buildup
that created problems while driving. This was corrected for 2k2. Also the
Simbin team had a fair ammount of inpjut for a wish-list of items to make
2k2 more mod friendly.
At the end of the day, GTR is still a mod, but it is head and shoulders
above FIA_GTv3 and superior to many commercial sims.
I suspect if you didn't like FIA_GTv3 then you may have issues with GTR
2k2. But that is only my guess. I used to be able to scrub off speed in
FIA by cranking the wheel and locking the brakes. Doesn't work now. I used
to loose front traction and start skidding with no hope of recovery. Now I
can over-drive a turn entry and still recover enough to save the
corner...Try Spa and really push through the 180 degree turn..Revase I think
it's called. Night and day difference.

:
: don't know about that. I absolutely loathe FIA GTv3, and I'm
: convinced GTR2002 is the best thing since sex.
I loved V1 of the orig. GT Mod.
Hated V2
V3 made me phsyically sick *
For me, GTR2k2 doesnt really have much staying power ( because of the shitty
netcode. even on ADSL, set to 56k, on a number of different servers - still
not had a good race) - but it IS a better sim than any of the previous
version

The way I read this is that they are not allowed to develop any sort of
internet server network, the most they can do is peer-to-peer. And
peer-to-peer over the internet just doesn't work as well as
client-server, that has been proven in many different games.
