Here!  Here!  None of the newer NFS games have been as
fun (in my opinion) as the original.  There are four
driving games on my computer that I play:

GPL (all the time)
Viper (sometimes)
SCGT (rarely, but maybe more if I get SP3)
NFS (the original, sometimes)

GP2 is there and I'd play it, but the game won't recognize
the P4 game card I've got my controllers hooked up through. :(
I bought N3, but it's not much good for me except as a
vehicle to get Indy for the (hopefully) upcoming N3->GPL
track converter.  It irks me that I'm gonna have to blow another
$50 on NL, yet another rehash of the N2 game engine, so I can
have Riverside available for conversion.

Geeze, are you afraid people will judge you by the position of your
toilet seat?  The only time the lid has been down on one of my toilets
is when I wanted to sit on it to trim my toenails.  I'll bet you put
fuzzy covers on the tank and seat too.  Personally, I hate those things
because it usually makes it impossible to keep the seat up without
holding it with one hand.  It seems like people go through a lot of
trouble to disguise their toilets as if they're embarrassed to have
people know that they use them.

Used to be nine but it got slammed in the toilet seat.

But the main point (which you danced around) still stands. I agree that it
looks nicer down.

If I could get Screamer 2 to run adequately on my system (something is
always screwed, whether it's graphics or sound) it would still be my
favorite no-brainer racer.

Really? Why am I suddenly thinking about online GPL racing at
Talledega? ;-)

If she just sits down without checking the seat, it's her own damn fault...

I heard a very good response to this debate that settled it for me...
"the woman is most likely the one that does the cleaning and what-not of it,
so she gets it her way"    -  I'll buy that, and anytime there's a woman in
the house, I make it a point to leave the seat down......

~now if i can just remember to raise it BEFORE, i'll be in good shape
