SCGT: What's the benfit of the Service Pack?

I want to get out SCGT for a spin and remember there being a 133MB service
pack.  What's the benefit of it?  Anyone know where I can find it now?  I've
got an ISDN line going to waste ;)

Below are the details from the SP3 readme. AFAIK the bug fixes are all in
the 1.551 patch (correct me if I am wrong) and the cars are a bit dated now.
There are lots of great cars out there (see diskpads garage -
http://discpad.homestead.com/ as one example).

I have downloaded the SP but never got round to trying it out, too busy
racing :-)

Talking about racing, get yourself over to the TireSmoke site
(http://tiresmoke.simracing.com/) Fun AutoX every two weeks and a great
crowd of folks. (It has been down recently, due to simracing, the host being
down, should be back soon, I hope).

===========================
Features:

155 Real World Cars with actual photos for each and every car.
Ok, 154, the Techware Motorsports car is not real but I think it
looks pretty damn good :)

All Tracks have "fake" sponsers removed and real sponsers added
with images of Marlboro, Fosters Beer, Budweiser and more

All Game Menus have been updated to give that "at the track" feel.
For example, go to the garage and you get a background image of
a real garage.

Track Loading screens in 640x480 and 800x600 modes now have
real track images. For the "fantasy" tracks, images were used that
best describe the feel of that track.

Replays can be set for over 30 minutes. You can set replays to as
much time as your memory and harddrive can handle.
See the INSTALL section for more information.

AI Difficulty can be set in the Player file and in the Matrix.mc file
and not get changed when going to the "quick race" selection screen.
See the INSTALL section for more information.

All Tracks now have all racing modes. Before, a few tracks did
not have night or rain racing. Now all tracks have this option.

North Point Penality Bug Fixed.

Driver Career money winnings, point system, and racing
schedule has been changed to reflect a more realistic season.
Finish in 14th place and you still get some points and cash,
just like in the real world.

Super Frame Rate Mode. Set the track detial to minimal and
race the tracks without FPS loss. Mirrors, trees, cones,
billboard, lights, etc have all been optimized in the low track
detail mode to make your frame rates much smoother
without effecting gameplay.
Notice: Due to suggestions, the smoke, wet track ,and skid
mark effects were not altered in this release and were placed
back at there normal levels. If you want even better frames per
second, download, "Car FX Lite" from Techware which will
reduce the amount of wet spray, smoke, dust, and skid marks shown.
(Great for multi-player)

it removed my sounds...
and put some daft "trans am" class in the way of a starting series, and
generally made a mess of things.

YMMV, of course.

cheers

Yea, it made a mess of things for me too. Prefer just the standard
SCGT with a couple of mods. Revved's sounds are my favourite choice.
