It might be because you've got your screen saver set to turn on after 15
minutes. You'll have to turn the screen saver off to play!

Two possible causes:
        have you got a network?
are you running the System Agent?

In fact, I got local network, and my System agent works only if my
computer sleeps for a long time(that's not true when I play GP2 !!!).
I also have a web deamon, but it doesn't seem to trouble anything...

No, I turn it down a week ago :( .A friend of mine have the same pb,
with different hardware (I've got a Cyrix P150+, 3D2000, and he's got a
Pentium 100, other video card).

Listen close to hear if a hard drive is spinning up. I have this problem
even though all "green" is turned off. I'm now running utility that
fixed the problem called HDSleep. If you set it up to "never spin down"

Your problem most likely has to do with Win95 trying to go out and
find a server to give it an IP address.  If you are only using Windows
networking on your LAN, then try removing the TCP/IP protocol from
your network setup.  When I started using Win95 (two PC's on a
peer-to-peer network), all of my DOS games would pause for a few
seconds every 5-10 minutes until I disabled TCP/IP.
