GP2:Problems Saving Games And Hotlaps

by Rob Evan » Sun, 01 Sep 1996 04:00:00

When running GP2 under Win 95 or DOS I am unable to save a race or a
hot lap.
This happens intermittently, with the following error message:

   DOS4gw Proffesional Error 2001  ....
   Page Fault 207:829634a0  tfs32 prev_tfs326b14  ....
   Page Granular Limit ...ect.
   Crash Address (unrelocated) 3:001c04a0

If it would help I could E-Mail a copy of a saved game that causes the
above error message.

I have :Pentium 133 16 meg Triton Chipset
        Matrox millen 2meg
        Sound Blaster 32 PnP

Any help would be appreciated.

this is a waste of bandwidth, but...

aren't these error messgaes dumb?

Like I've ever heard of a "amateur" error

"your always saying it is the pages' fault!"

You can write this crash at: 3:001c04a0

Yep... Same problem I had. Almost the same machine too. I fixed it by doing DOS
reboots to start the game. I have never seen the error since. You say you go
to DOS. Do you actually re-boot? Or just use the current DOS settings? You
need to re-boot & use the DOS drivers for mouse, CDrom, video, soundcard &
whatever else you have.
