Be shure to unzip GP2LP102.ZIP in your GP2 directory (where GP2.EXE is).
Now start GP2LAP _instead of_ GP2, after first going to the directory :
CD \GP2 (assuming C:\GP2 is your GP2 directory)
GP2LAP
It will then start to load GP2.
If you used to start GP2 with commandline parameters, then start GP2LAP
with these parameters. GP2LAP will then pass the parameters on to GP2 :
If you used to start GP2 with
GP2 VIDEO:VESA
then now start GP2LAP with
GP2LAP VIDEO:VESA
GP2 will show the GP2LAP logo in the upper right corner when you've done
it correctly.
While in GP2 you don't have to do anything special, a saved game or hotlap
will automatically be GP2LAP-extended.
Be shure to get the latest HOF2LAP from
http://www.racesimcentral.net/
Unzip HOF2LAP.ZIP in your GP2 directory (or anywhere else, but I would keep
it with GP2).
If you want to use HOF2LAP in real DOS mode, then you also need CWSDPMI.ZIP
to be unzipped where you've put HOF2LAP (get it from same site).
Suppose your GP2 directory is C:\GP2, you've saved your files in
C:\GP2\GPSAVES and HOF2LAP is in C:\GP2 :
After going to the GP2 directory with :
CD \GP2 (to go to the GP2 directory)
To view the data of a Monaco hotlap you would type :
HOF2LAP -v -d GPSAVES\filename.HLD
To view the data of a Monaco saved game you would type :
HOF2LAP -v -d GPSAVES\filename.RAD|MORE
The |MORE bit will stop screen output after each screenfull, there's
info on laptimes, positions, average/max PO for every single lap.
For easy use of HOF2LAP when I'm in Windows, I've created a little batch-
file, to which I can simply drag and drop either a hotlap or race file
(wherever I've saved the file):
The only line in HOF2LAP.BAT:
HOF2LAP -v -d %1|MORE
Put HOF2LAP.BAT in the same directory as HOF2LAP itself is, and make a Windows
shortcut to the batchfile.
Hope this helps,
