My god ! I don't believe it ! So Microprose knows what Internet is? And
they know that r.a.c exists?

Yeah. Are they a "leading interactive entertainment software publisher"
with softs from non-Microprose employees like Geoff Crammond, or with
craps like Virtual Karts and Grand Prix Manager?

 today

Please notice they tell us the year ;)

This is a common indication that the writer is attempting to add humor
to their post.  The <g> is short for "grin" (i.e., to draw back the lips
so as to show the teeth, esp. in amu***t or laughter).

Actually <g> is long for grin.  Since I can type grin faster and easier
than SHIFT/<,g,SHIFT/> ;-)

From Ian Weavers 14-7-96

HA HA HA Spectrum intends to ship GP2 on 23 July.

They intended to ship it Sept 1995! Why should we believe them this
time?

From a disgruntled fan who spent a couple of hours looking around
Silverstone for this elusive product.

But I did have a go on the F1 Sony Playstation game and I was given a
six*** page colour brochure on the game which is due out in October for
the PC.

Do you really believe the world's so na?ve and you can fool us
(again!!!) with a fantasy release date???.
SH-MPS are fooling us with release dates for almost
a year now and still they seem to be thinking everyone takes this ***
(read as: kissing the asses of the people from SH-MPS)
You can do whatever you want because you know that most of your
customers are  'narrow minds' that will still
buy it when it finally comes out in 199...
I hate this arrogantic display typically for the software industry.
I'm also waiting but NOT to buy it.
I'll get an ILLEGAL copy from the day it's available in the stores.
And so should everyone reading this too (don't spent your money on a
company that doesn't care
about it's customers!!!).
An eye for an eye ...
To hell with SH-MPS!

"Anger got bare knuckels
 Anger play the fool
Anger wear a crown of thorns
 Reverse the golden rule"

P.S.
The only reason you can't bring it out (yet) is that you're not
100% sure the game is BSE free (the Britisch national disease).

So then we'll never get any more great products like GP2. Yes, you're
REALLY clever....

The rest of Europe has as much as if not more BSE compared to Britain -
look at the number of cattle destroyed in France every year for this
problem. Can't you see political bullshit when it's shoved under your
nose? Careful, your xenophobia is showing.

What an ***....

Sorry, but didn't get it. What do you mean by "BSE" ? By "the number of
cattle destroyed in France every year for this problem" ???

Thanx

Stephane (yeah, from France...)

"BSE" Bovine Spongiform En....something-or-other :) (I can't remember!)

More commonly known as "Mad cow disease" - most countries in Europe have
this, Britain is just the famous one for political reasons. Nothing
against other countries, just pointing out some facts (which have
nothing at all to do with sim-racing!!).

Cheers!
John

>So it's July 23 then.  What has happened to July 19?  Oh well, at
>least we finally know it is coming for sure.

In some places like in Europe it might release on the 19th or even
before. The "worldwide" release is set for July 23rd as the press
release states.
