N2 Car Problem

N2 Car Problem

by Richard Busc » Mon, 09 Feb 1998 04:00:00

I've d'loaded the patches for C***te and Tally. Now when I drive My
car loses speed after 2 laps. This happens most in Qualifying and the
races, but happens all the time at Tally. It's not my setups, the car
runs great. After 2 laps I lose 2-5 MPH per lap. At Tally I start at
191-195 and slow down to 175 or so after5-6 laps. Very noticeable in the
turns. At C***te it happens very late in the race,I lose 10-15 MPH. I
switched off breakdowns and it still happens. I know it's not the
setups, I ran these before I D'loaded the changes. I've reinstalled the
tracks but it still happens. Am I missing something? What can I edit to
get back to normal? Do I have to reinstall the whole game?

Thanks for any help, ZZ Busch

I am not sure what "patches" you are talking about, but you may want to
re-calibrate your controller device gain.  Try shorting the acceleration
axis (say only 90% travel).  Also make sure that you have the driver
aids turned off (steering help, braking, etc.).

You might want to check your joystick calbration.  While it sounds unusual
that you would slow down after 2 laps, if you have changed joysticks, or
for whatever reason, the joystick may need recalibration from time to time.
One time after reformatting my hard drive, I loaded nascar 2 and the first
thing I did was calibrate my stick.  I went to talladega to check it out,
and I could only go 180tops.  Recalibration of the stick fixed it.  It is
worth a try, right?

Just reinstall over itself, all your setups will still be there it doesn't
delete files just adds or changes
