N1 Hawaii: Offline use?

Though not currently interested in multiplayer racing (if it's still
happening), I have downloaded and viewed the files in the HAWAII file. I
was looking to see if there were any modifications to enhance offline
racing, but after reading the files, I haven't found anything to give me
that impression. (I did note something about a tow feature that I liked
the sound of.) Would there be a reason to use this file and if so, how
do I actually work it in conjunction with the NASCAR executable?

If I sound like a ranting madman, it's probably because of my insanity.
=======================================================================
Who are you and who am I?
You say we know the reason why
Some are born, some men die
Beneath one infinite sky.
There'll be war, there'll be peace
But anything, one day, will cease,
All the iron turned to rust,
All the proud men turned to dust.

MULTI.EXE  (from memory I think that's what it was called) is a
replacement for NASCAR.EXE. So that's how it works (uses all the
existing data) in a nutshell.

The biggest reason to not use it is that all (most?) of the publicly
released versions of Hawaii did not have single race or championship
season enabled. (Only multiplayer and preseason testing were enabled.)

The "multi.exe" adds the towtruck, and allows you to chat with
your modem partner by either "autochat" F-key features, or chatting
"live" chat from the keyboard.  You need to hit the "t" key, and it
will bring up a text window, which will allow you to type in your
message.  If you hookup with a modem partner through the "multi.exe"
command, you will need to make some wedge adjustments to
whatever setup you use.  The physics are a little different than they
are with the "nascar.exe" commmand.  It's either add or subtract
35 to 50lbs of crossweight.  Sorry, I don't remember which....I
haven't run the regular command for Nascar since Hawaii went to
open beta testing. :)
If you do any modem racing, IMO this is a better way to do
it.
