Logging Lap Times in GP2

Logging Lap Times in GP2

In the old F1GP there was a wonderful utility called GPA (GP Analyser)
which I could pre-load before loading the game and then each time I
crossed the Start/Finish time the lap time would be written to a file on
my ramdrive or the hard drive. I could then view this information in
various ways, and the analyser would highlight where I was quicker and
whether the session was in practise, qualifying or race mode.

Now this sort of thing is handled within the new GP2 game, but I want to
be able to work with the data - calculate the averages for a particular
setup, including the split times if possible.

I am looking for a utility which would either analyse this for me, or
perhaps even simpler and better, to dump each split time to an ascii
text file together with the lap number which I could then import or cut
& paste into a spreadsheet and work with it.

Anyone have any ideas or know of such a utility?

If you become member of the Hall Of Fame II (search for HOF2 on the WWW), you
will get the permission to use a small utility which extracts laptimes and
splits from a hotlapfile. You'll have to edit the output to import it straight
into a spreadsheet, though.
