Yes, because of the noise from the F1, Johan R. is only allowed to have
drive-school on the southern arrea, and the length is about 3/4 of the full
length, but I have a feeling, that you know this already :o)
I was not the only one to reach rev-limit in 6th gear, so I'm not a hero or
anything. You came out to the straight with about 6500 rpm in 3th gear, and
4th, 5th droped to about 7500 rpm when shifting, and from 5th to 6th it
droped to about 7800 - 8000 (a little hard to see in this speed), and the
limiter was set to 9600 rpm.
As there is no instrument (I don't know the word in English) to show you
the speed directly, I will have to beleave the "teacher" when he says, that
with this gearing you are going 300 km/t at a little less than 9400 rpm, I
must
assume that when the rev-limiter is being hit at 9600 rpm (it is very easy
to
hear this) his word max-speed at 307 km/t is correct. This is becaurse this
car
has a lower gearing than the car on the data.jpg pic. Faster acc., but
"only" just
about 307 km/t at the top.
Of course, if he was lying, and I was "only" going 270-280 km/t I would not
know the difference.
As I had a loaded Camaro, I do know the feeling of driving 210-220 km/t
though, and this F1 was faster. The acc was MUCH faster than a loaded
Camaro.
As you might live in Norwegen (your email-adress ends with .no), all I can
say is, try this Formula 1 for yourself, and you can also do it.
When you was at Anderstorp. what did you drive?
