Do your pedals slip around on your carpet,
well I've found a cure, go down to your local skate board shop
and buy some grip tape, they should sell it on a roll about a foot wide.
its like sticky back course sand paper. Stick it on the bottom of your
pedal base and hey presto.

... or get a TSW2 (very heavy pedal unit)!  ;-)

The base has enormous *** feet, and I found the best way to stop it
moving was to put a piece of wood under the front edge (changes the
pedal angle to the one I prefer) and another piece of wood between that
one and the wall.

I think my chair is more likely to move than the pedals!

I did approximately the same with the pedal unit and now my chair does move
:)

Anybody knows cure for the slipping chair?

Alex.

Well my computer desk is in the corner on my livingroom
and my chair buts up against the end of the sofa

I fixed mine by getting a GP1 wheel, using paddles for gas/brake. Yeah sounds
wierd, but once I got used to it I don't think I've ever pulse-modulated the
brakes this fast with pedals. I just folded some cardboard up to an inch thick
and stuck it under the brake paddle to lessen the throw. The cardboard still
has some 'give', so I can really squeeze em hard to lock the brakes.
Sure beats driving with my CH Combatstick/Rudders.

I overcame the problem of sliding pedals by using a piece of clear plastic
carpet protector it has small raised grippers (for want of a better word)
with surprising enough grip the carpet. The pedals are placed on top (which
has a ripple surface) and combined with the *** feet on the pedals no
more slippage. The plastic protector should be available in a hardware shop
or similar. The product is about 27 inches (700mm) in width and was sold by
the metre. (very cheap). The only other thing I had to do was anchor one
side of the strip under the desk legs. I had this set-up for a couple of
months now and no problems. This totally eliminates any bracing with wood or
other such devices and is not in the way. This should work with your chair
on castors, but I have no need in my case.

You could always go the whole hog and get a racing tub!

I believe Hyperstimulator and Ballracing sell them, among others.

Serious wonga though, and if you have a significant other it could be a
bit tricky to get that one past them!

Yea great wheel the GP1, that was my first PC wheel, but no
split axis (well not without some seriouse modificatoins ), and no
force feedback, so now its gathering dust in a cupboard since i
got my MSFF.

By the way have you done the lock stops mod. to get 270 deg. rotation,
makes a big differance

Why buy one when you could make one,
I've been seriously thinking about it myself.

I put those little square *** furniture feet protectors under the
wheels of my desk chair to hold it in place while drive. I only need
to to use two even though my chair has five wheels.  You can get them
at any hardware store but I have no idea what they are called.

I think that's one DIY project that wouldn't get approval from my other
half!  ;-)

Thanks for all advises.
I didn't mention but there's no wheels on my chairs and it just slided.
Now I have finished moving furniture (putting the sofa behind the chair
:)).
Everything seems to be working perfect, except that I can't get out of
this "car" in 5 sec. Would you consider it as a sort of cheating? :-)

I suggest that you rename yourself Max Mosely (son of Oswald) and
unilaterally (son of Oswald, again . . .) change the rules.
