I opened up the pedals and lubricated them... it helped only for a
while, but then again I used bicycle chain oil =) Maybe some sort of
vaseline would do a better job.

It isn't 'wet' and doesn't pick up dirt and whatever like other oils.
Graphite powder is good too, but it's damned messy and could end up on your
carpets.

I had difficulty trying to open my pedals. I removed the screws but it
still wouldn't come apart easily,
and i didn't want to break it. How much force can I use?
( this post somewhat delayed as I replied to sender rather than to the
group - doh -
and John Bull didn't seem be a valid e-mail address)
doesn't need much force at all, but you do first have to remove the screws
that are hidden in recessed holes under the silver sticker.......
