Logitech WFF problems

I am having trouble with my Logitech Wingman Formula Force wheel. The
problem is most noticable in TOCA2. When driving in a straight line the
steering wheel suudenly turns abruptly to the left, almost out of my
grip, and the car ends up in the barrier. Does anyone know of any
similar problem with this wheel?
I think I've read somwhere that Logitech uses a potentiometer to measure
the movement in the wheel, if so it may be that potetiometer that is
causing the trouble.

Thanks in advance!

I've heard that the Microsoft FF wheel has does the same thing. In
fact, that is the prime reason why I have decided not to buy the
Microsoft Sidewinder wheel.

I've had the MSFF wheel for nearly 6 months now, and have never had this issue
with ANY game (GPL, CPR, N99 (no FF here, obviously), MGPRS2, TOCA2, Viper).
Three friends of mine have this wheel as well, and report absolutely NO issues
with it.

All in all, I am totally pleased with the wheel (something I thought I would
NEVER say about any MS product, especially after CPR!)

I just bought the MS/FF wheel and DO have a
problem.  I can't seem to get it to work right
with N99.  I even tried loading the N2 profile.
Do you have any suggestions?

With the MSFF there shouldn't be this problem at all, since they're
using optical/digital.
The logi (I got one) uses poti and then converting the signal to
digital. I guess they use filtering, since the movement is absolutely
smooth - not nervous at all.
Could be, that your poti is heavily damaged, too much for that filter.
